Seren is an Oboe and Cor Anglais player from Lancashire, currently in her final year studying at the Royal Birmingham Conservatoire. She enjoys performing in a variety of ensembles and genres, from solo recitals to a recent performance alongside Big Horizon with the RBC session orchestra.

Surrounded by a love for music from a young age, Seren was captivated by the unique sound and character of the oboe, leading her to begin lessons aged 10. Over ten years later, this passion has only grown stronger, especially through her studies. During her time at RBC, She has developed her skills as a keen orchestral player, including gaining a place on the CBSO training scheme in 2024. Seren has performed in a number of RBC ensembles and has played Principal oboe with the CBSO Youth orchestra since 2023, having the opportunity to play under conductors such as Joshua Weilerstein, Kazuki Yamada, and Jac van Steen. She is also regularly in demand to play with a number of Birmingham ensembles including the Birmingham Philharmonic Orchestra and Sinfonia of Birmingham. She doubles on saxophone and has perormed in the orchestras for productions of Phantom of the Opera, Oliver!, and Frozen.
